“Hold still,” Haldir hissed. His nimble fingers worked swiftly, tying the bandage. The human wandered in Lórien with an injured leg, and if repairing it would let him leave swiftly, Haldir had some skill in field healing.
“The more you struggle, the worse your pain will be.”
Leo was more a lad than a man, stumbling through the woods, hands slippery with his blood. At some point he had lost his footing and tumbled down a hill next to a creek bed, head connecting with one of the stones lining the water.
He came to feeling the sharpness of pain and hands working. He cried out and jerked, only making it hurt worse. He gripped at the edge of the bandage on his thigh, head tipping back. “What happened? Where’m I?"
