she had never seen his face before, never heard his voice. she had no idea who
he was or why he was past the fence but he was the only person who could
help her right now. and even though she hated asking for help she knew without
him she wouldn’t make it home before nightfall ; and being out in the woods at
night wasn’t a good idea. with her hand still placed on her ankle and she could
feel it already begining to swell under her clothes.

where she would remember where they were.

He started his way back to the fence leading into 12. His steps were
neither lumbering nor swift. She was not heavy but the uneven ground
did not make things easy.
