“Okay.” She thought about asking whether or not she could possibly kill him doing this but she had seen him survive worse than a punch. (Though she would be the first one to tell anyone who would listen that she could - and had - killed someone with a punch before.)
“Okay,” she repeated. And then she pulled back and punched Leo, without any actual warning, in the face just as hard as she possibly could.
He took deep breaths and braced himself, but nothing would have prepared him for the explosion of light and brutal pain that washed over him moments before he lost consciousness. His body crumpled on the edge of the couch, head lolling forward.
