TWO: Got stuck in a storm at sea.

“Leo — you wouldn’t happen to — know have potions for, uh, sea sickness, would you?” There is a much more severe storm brewing in his gut and, at this rate, he’ll be redecorating the only bathroom ( more like an outhouse ) onboard. The waves throw the ship harshly to the side and his shoulder slams into the wood, where he immediately rests his head, palm smoothing over his rumbling stomach. The windows flash with cracks of lightning, a thin build-up of water sloshing around at their feet and — oh shit. He’s not gonna make it.

Leo’s hair was drenched from spending time on the deck, making sure the ropes were secure before joining Sam below. He did not worry too much about the water that rolled about, attributing the puddles to water leaking from above deck rather than somewhere below. He uttered a silent prayer to Hecate, though knowing full well she was likely busy with her more devoted children.

“‘Course I do,” he hollered back, “I would not ride one of these blasted vessels without it. Just—hold on a moment.” He worked his way around the boat, stopping every so often when it lurched to hold his balance until he reached Sam. Placing a hand on the man’s stomach, he willed the churning muscle to slow down. Then, he placed a firm hand on Sam’s shoulder and brought him to the bench. Behind him was cabinet with his endless pack of herbal remedies (amongst other things). After pulling out bottle with a pale yellow-green mixture inside, he plopped down next to to where Sam was looking yellower than the bottle he held. He offered the bottle. “Drink this slowly. Ginger–amongst other things.” The boat rocked violently again, and Leo pressed an arm over Sam’s chest and braced himself. He grit his teeth as he was showered with water rushing in from the cracks above them. “Remind me again why we must travel by ship?"
